I had a first spawn of Peru Gold Shoulder / Corydoras aeneus schultzii. No one seems to agree on the name of these. They are also called Gold Stripe, but are not the "Laser" corys.

What was interesting about this spawn was the where I found the eggs. This is the first time I have found cory eggs laid in a mass, 4-5 eggs deep. Some of the eggs were even placed just at and a little above the water line. While some were found in the JavaMoss, most were on the glass.

Have you ever seen cory egg masses like this, or above water line eggs?

I have some goldline/shoulder/whatever types aso. They lay eggs the same way as yours; in thick layers under and a bit above the waterline.

Never seen it with other corys though.

What you describe is not unusual. There are a number of species that lay their eggs at or above the water line. Corydoras duplicareus ans adolfoi would be two examples.
