Update on Betta with lump for anyone with similar problems:

The lump grew much bigger and we were getting really concerned about what would happen. It had already burst (no idea how) so we decided to do a little sergery on him.
We put him in a little lunch box filled with water and got a steralised needle, then we put him in a seperate tank which was already prepared and then treated it with Protozin, aqua plus and aqua tonic salts. He was acting a bit weird and he was very stressed out (at one point I thought that was it for him), but we left him in the dark and did regular checks.
He is getting on fine, however he still has a lump with what i assume is tissue from the lump.
He is swimming around just as he use to and im feeding him one peice of his food a day which he is eating and not ignoring.
And, I have just discovered thathe has blown a bubble nest, which he hasnt done in a LONG time!
So keeping fingers crossed he will survive![/color]
