Iâ??ve got a query about some odd growths on a few of my C. concolor.
They are located on the underside of the fish and are small (1-2mm) white-ish with grey tinge in colour, and appear to be jelly like.
At first I thought they were eggs, as they are on the underside, close to or on the anal and pelvic fins, but then I noticed some were more elongate in appearance, and saw some attached to a male. There are 6 in the group, but Iâ??ve only seen them on 3 of the fish (2 female, 1 male).
The fish do not seem affected in any way, and are feeding well, showing strong colours. The females are plump, and the males have started to develop extended dorsal fins. They are being kept in a hex tank (approx 60l), on a substrate of sand. Filtration is good in the form of a sponge filter run off an air pump and a separate internal filter at a slow rate. Temp is about 76-77. I donâ??t know what the water readings are, but Iâ??ve been giving this tank regular weekly 25% water changes with RO from the LFS.
Any initial ideas would be very welcome. Iâ??ll try and get some photoâ??s later, but my skills may be too limited to snap the actual detail needed.
Cheers,
Ryan

Thanks Ian.
They're currently on a diet of tablet and pellets with flake (also for the neons that share the tank). They get occasional (once - twice a week freeze dried bloodwork or tubiflex), I'm scheduled to go to the LFS in the morning so I'll pick some of each up.
