What species to choose as breeding project?

I have no experience breeding Megalechis, so I won't get into that.
Regardig the B. splendens I have no experience either, but it should not be that easy.
If you want an easy one, I think you should go for the C. adolfoi, as they are relatively simple to get going. 24 degrees celsius and a weekly 50% waterhange should do the trick with a little patience.

Right - what sort?
Where to get them...any info welcomed.
They're currently fed a variety of dry foods.

Grindal worms and white worm culture are usually available within the membership of most aquarium societies. Grindal worms are better than white worms but both will help.
Worms are not essential but they make breeding Corys much easier with them than without them. I prefer the easy way.
Corydoras aeneus and paleatus are more accomodating than most of the other Corydoras.

Thanks Larry,
I know it would be sensible to start with the more common species of Cory's but I have purchased the fish I keep for a reason - I think they're cool!
So I may add a few to the groups of Cory's and see how they get on.
BTW does anyone know about the breeding conditions for
? The info on the Cat elog takes you to the CoTM article on the species â?? but this doesnâ??t mention breeding in any detail.

Try Ian fullers book Breeding corydoradinae catfish, it has a detailed account of spawning Brochis splendens with photos and line drawings of the fry.

If you are thinking of investing, do so you won't be dissapointed. And have a look at
http://www.corydorasworld.com it is a membership site although cheep. It does cover alot of the info you require.

Well Iâ??ve ordered the book, and it should be arriving in the next couple of weeks.
I finally set the tank up at the weekend, the sand took ages to wash â?? even though it was a small amount!
I think Iâ??ll introduce a few of my BA tetras first and let them mature the tank.
Then Iâ??ll have to pick a species!
