Is this a S. katangae?

Got him yesterday sold as S. logirostris. If it is S. katangae how common are they or did i get a good deal paying $15.

Indeed it's not a Synodontis longirostris. But I can't say for sure that it is S. katangae without some more pictures of the whole fish and/or the fins. Is that possible?
BTW: your pix aren't dark at all.

I bought two catfish as longirostris that appear to be very similar to your photos. Mine are about 4 inches now and appear to be some sort of hybrid.

Likewise, I bought one of these guys as an S. Longi and it looked exactly as yours does. Also turned out to be a hybrid :x

well, its a handsome catfish hybrid. My high fin, striped tail, polka dot syno.
