Not a great deal to be honest. I sold some youngsters at the weekend for £3 each. That was at an auction. I'd expect no more than £2 each store credit.
A friend got a breeding pair at the CSG auction and I think he got them for around £6 - £8 if memory serves.

how big are they until they can breed?? mine are like 3 inches... and it appears to be 1 male and 3 females.

do you know much about the market in the US or on aquabid?

I would say that $10 a peice is a fair price at that size. If they were proven breeders, (meaning they would need to be an inch or two bigger as well), they might go for more.

Juveniles cost about the equivalent of U.S. $7.50 here. Adult pairs, about $40.00.

how long before they are mature enough to sell for more money?? I really like them but this guy only offered me $5 each so I turned him down.

They are pretty nice... but they sit in their cave all day... and all night...

They get much more boisterous and social as they age. I have had a group of four for about two years now and they are some of the most fun fish I own to feed and watch.

I also have a lone (sadly), male H. littorale, and I would say he is the most active fish I own.

So what I'm saying is maybe hold onto them for a while longer.
