If you do, and it's YOUR picture[1], please copy webmaster(at)planetcatfish(dot)com so that they can be added to the Cat-eLog.

[1]unfortunately, pictures that you don't own, means that someone else has the copyright, and PlanetCatfish could get into trouble if pictures are posted without correct authorization.

Hi Mats,

I'll be attempting to photograph my collection shortly:
Consists of

Lepthoplosternum pectorale
L. altamazonicum (was sold as this)
Megalichthys thoracata
M. picta
Hoplosternum littorale
H. punctatum
Callichthys callichthys
Dianema longibarbus

So I'll send copies as well

I have never managed to find a picture of H. altamazonicum to verify the I.D. I take it you got most of your hoplos at Wholesale Tropicals? I bought all of mine there.

Hi there,

Bought most from Wholesale Tropical but 25% came from other sources...
The altamazonicum were from WT definitely and at first glance DO look different
(they've been in one of my 'dirty tanks' ie loads of algae / loads of loam for the last year and have doubled in size - nearly full grown now and sexable).
