What Species of Ancistrus?

Just got this big boy yesterday. Instant pride and joy! :D
Just wondering if anyone could tell me his species from the 2 pictures I managed to get before he vanished under some wood. He's about 4", maybe a little bit bigger. Not very prominant bristles at all, but he does have them between his eyes which suggests he's male. He has a sort of dished face, which is really, really cute heheeh. He's actually a solid brownish/grey color with spots on his fins. I took the pictures yesterday after putting him in the tank so he's really showing his stress colors in the pictures. If anyone could gimme a hand I would really appreciate it. Thanks all.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but without a collection locality, at least a country if not a river, it is nearly going to be impossible to even give an idea of the species.

I was afraid of that. :(
I have no idea what river he came from, so of course no idea what country.

The first question is of course if this is a captive bred specimen or wild-caught. Most shops will be very clear about specimens that are wild-caught, simpley becuase they are (commonly) worth more money than the captive-bred.

If it's captive bred, it's very likely to be .

I have no idea. I will go and ask them tomorrow, though, and get back to you. Thanks.
