My latest 2 additions to my group both fairly mature at 5 inches. Can I have your views on sex please

I am no expert Ian but I would say they could be both female, both of my males are smaller than them and they already have a lot of spines along the edge of their Pectoral fins which yours dont seem to have.

The head shapes are sufficiently different enough for me to believe that this is a pair.

Hello,

If they were smaller than 5 inches, it could be guessed that #2 was a male. At that size, I have to believe that he would be showing a lot more odontodal growth than is present. Head shaped does look male, but my "guess" is still both females because of the size.

If you recall, the topic creator did note that they were very recent additions. The stress and water fouling involved with capture, transport, and whatnot almost always results in the shedding of previously accumulated odontodal growths, not to mention the fact that I've yet to see a female with such a broad head profile.
