i have just read up on it and it says it should be kept alone as its a preditor is this true as its in a tank with 2 oscors, 3 differnt size plecos, and 2 parrot fish. the fish shop did say it would be ok in the same tank

Umm... is the size in the Cat-eLog really accurate? C. batrachus grows to _one meter_ in size?

shop did say they have been know to grow 1m long but i would think that in the wild the one i got is only about 7" in a 4ftx2ftx2ft tank.
is there any risk to the other fish.

Anything less than 2/3 its' own size can get eaten.....so yes there's a risk.

Clarias can eat anything

but they taste really exquise themselves too, so in a very ironic way it makes sense

How is your Clarias batrachus doing? Did you end up leaving it in the same tank?
