Hoplosternum spawning photos

I was out most of the day friday but the wife informed me about 7pm that the hoplos had started spawning, they had pretty much finished by the time I got home a couple of hours later so I only managed these photos:

Male tending bubble nest
there was a few eggs scattered on the bottom the next morning and they were definately fertile but the nest was broken up at some point on Saturday
, but this was the first time they had spawned so hopefully they will do better next time

Nice photo sequence. As they say, practice makes perfect. May I ask what their diet is like?
