I have seen these at several of the LFS being sold as common aeneus at $3 a fish. The closest I have found in Fuller's latest book is on page 53 and labeled: "Corydoras aeneus, aquarium specimen, 'Corydoras schultzei'"
In addition to the stripe, several of them have a green metallic hue in the dorsal.
Is this just a variation of the more commonly colored aeneus?
A non-laser striped aeneus?

This fish was described by Holly (as far as i remember) as Corydoras schultzei, but at the moment it is officially a synonym of C. aeneus.
I and others believe that it might well be at seperate species. Not least because almost none of the C. aeneus we see in shops looks like the C. aeneus from Trinidad (the "original"). So the aeneus and varieties we see in shops might not even be real C. aeneus...confusing, I know
