:D Hello everybody. I have a Pseudodorus Niger, Dolphin or Mother of Snails Cat. He is about 4 months old now and is about 13" long. He is gonna get big. We have moved him into a 120 gal. tank. He seems very happy. We made a house for him, a pond basket, about 18" long. He stayed in it most of the time. He is very friendly. I give him pellets. What else can I get him. His name is Dudley. I'll post pictures. He is amazing. We have just got back into aquariums, have more pets, but this guy is awsome. Got him by accident. Can't find another. Having a little trouble keeping ammonia down. He is in with about 6 small gouramis and 3 gold corys - small. I have small rocks on bottom. Is that OK? What can I feed him that will go to the bottom? "Later" :)

Yes.

You can try sinking pellets (like Tetra Tabimin or Hikari Carnivore Pellets), if you don't want to mess with live/frozen food (most of which will sink).

This fish was featured as a CoTMhere.

They will learn to take food directly from your hand; I feed mine pieces of cockles, which it loves.

Thanks all. Do I need to put sand in a part of the tank? How can I separate it? He is making my tank have a little ammonia. We use 2 filters, Fluval and one Eheim.

What size aquarium are you going to be able to move it into as it grows? This fish requires an absloute minimum of several hundred gallons once adult.

The tank was HUGE, about 3 meters long, 1,2 meters wide and at least 1 meter depth or so.
That tiger was 1 meter sort of; the niger slightly longer than the tiger and a LOT fatter (=heavier).

They were NOT for sale; it's at ahuge LFS; they have another big tank with two adult Red Tails (phractocephalus), and two other showtanks as well. The biggest of them all is a 10.000 liter tank with Synodontis granulosus and a load of other Tanganyikan fishes. You need pressurized air to clean the windows....
