Hey all,

Just bought 2 of these ~1.5" little guys. Found nothing on the web on UFO Plecostomus. My feeling is its not a Pleco at all, as it has a small mouth situated just under the nose, and seems to be using its fins and entire underside to adhear to surfaces.

Wondering exactly what I have on my hands here. Heres the shots, hope they show up (focus isn't the best as its lower light..sorry). May try to shoot better shots if folks require them for a positive ID.

Thanks all!

It's a hillstream loach, not a pleco.

Maybe this from http://www.loaches.com/

Not a catfish ... hillstream loach is the common name.

The latin name may be "pseudogastromyzon myersi", a cute little algae eater that grows to about an inch long

Dave is right; it's a Beaufortia species, not a (Pseudo-) Gastromyzon species.
