As requested by Jools...
I successfully defended my PhD dissertation "A Phylogenetic Analysis of the Asian Catfish Family Sisoridae (Teleostei: Siluriformes), and the Evolution of Epidermal Characters in the Group" yesterday.
Now, I have to box up all my stuff (including a desktop computer and my large fish library) and ship it halfway across the world.

I believe it's "Professor Silurus" as it already was Doctor Silurus I think.
Well done & congrats!
definitely beaming on that pic; btw who are the other fishgeeks portrayed? I'm curious.

Um, no. No one made me a professor (this is a title bestowed on you, not a degree you earn). I wasn't a doctor before. Guess I'm one now.

Your face says it all! Congratulations on all your hard work and your excellent thesis. I should probably know this already, but where are you shipping off to?

The other half of my location in my profile, 12 (or 13) time zones away. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Yes, I think even without a PhD I can just manage it!
Well, good luck to you and I hope all goes well
