Does anyone know anything about this guy? Algae or wood? I can't find much.

Datz L-numbers book says Hopliansistus sp., (L17), is an omnivore.
It also states that it is "Often confused with L67 (Pseuancistrus sp.)"

I think the number is correct. This guy is a pretty sharp importer of rare fish. He'll tell you if the group of fish is good or to leave them alone if they are bad. He gets in some really good items and will drop the exporter if he doesn't like what he gets from them. He imports from all over the world and specializes in rare and unusual fish rather than just plecos. He's learned enough to spot a different variety from what he ordered even when the difference might be just something you or I would never catch. He runs a list on Yahoo and it's a rare event when someone complains that it's a wrong fish.
This particular one is a bit under 2 inches in size and has been in his place for over a month now so he's pretty well settled.

I bought a L017 according to the dealer but in checking it out, I think it's more of a L100
