I have 4 Ancistus ranunculus (2 boys & 2 girls) & was wondering if anyone has had any success in breeding them ?
There seems to be little info on them, i thought being an Ancistrus species they would be easily breed in the house hold aquarium.

Thanks VEGETA.....

There is an article on spawning this species in the May 1998 issue of TFH.

Hi!

You shall use pretty much the same type of biotop and requirement needed for Hypancistrus zebra.
There is a web article about them , I just need to find the link!
Cheers

Can anyone scan the article from TFH referred to by Heok Hee, and email it to me? Iâ??d really like to read it, but I can't get TFH here in Norway.

Thanks for the replys guys, i have already done my homework and have read the article in the May 1998 TFH magazine, this is the only peice of literature i have found so far.
Hey Yann i hope A. ranunculus isn't as hard to breed as H. zebra, i know they live in the same areas as zebras.

hi vegeta, I heard that L34s are quite difficult to breed also, a friend of mine kept 2 pairs for around 3 years and nothing happened. :? Considering the reputation of breeding skills of that person!! But dont give up.. Gud luck.. :D
