- but I'm not an expert on Syno's. The long dorsal fin is the key I'm using, along with colouration/pattern.

Yes, I asked this already, but as you can tell the fish has different coloration/pattern now. It may be a little easier to identify with this pic versus the previous pics.

i still dont think its eupterus look at the dorsal fin yes it looks long but it dont look feathered i could be wrong i think it could be one of the hybrids just my oppinion

I believe that when this fish grows to adult size it will certainly be Eupterus. These fish have a ton of variability when young I've heard and this one looks exactly like mine when it was a juvie.

It's too young for a feathery dorsal.
