ID my striped/spotted common pleco...

I bought this pleco about 4 months ago as a common pleco. At that time it was about 2 inches long. Now it is about 3.5 inches long. I just wanted to know exactly what it was and about how big it would get. Thanks

It's a Hypostomus, probably closest to this.

Checked all the pics under Hypostomus and these were the closest I could find to mine...

Your fish is not a member of the H. cochliodon group. As I said, it's closer to the H. punctatus group.

Hi

Mine from Peru are just called Spotted Pleco and dont have spines along there sides.just another Pleco not really id..No growth in 3 months at 6 to 7 inches and not signs as to sex either,,
