Does anyone know anything more about this fish:

I have had its twin since December and would like to know more about it, its care, common name if it has one, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
It's more likey you have this: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/lo ... m/87_F.PHP and that species has a write up with information that is applicable to either. Post some pictures if you can?

Thank you, that's him (or her...)
My confusion had stemmed from the fact that the fish I have was sold as a Common Pleco and labeled as a Hypostamus plecostomus. After looking through several internet sources I realized it was definitely NOT that particular type of H.
The Catfish of the Month article linked to the entry that you included states that the H. punctuatus is often sold as a Common and is often mislabeled as an H. Plecostomus.
I knew he'd have to be a pretty common species, since he came from a local chain store that stocks only really common species.
Thanks for your help.
