My F1 breeders are at least 10 years old now, and still thriving, productive, and showing no signs of aging.

one of my petricola 'Burundi' males has been caught as adult in 1992; given the growthrate of this particular species -fully adult size at 6 years or so- that fish is something close to 20 years.

it's an incredable stud with hundreds of babies every year

so, yes, they last a long time!
my granny-female is even older and looks like she's still growing and maturing.....these fish are in for the long haul :D

I was just wondering since it takes them 3 years to reach maturety. 20 years is a long time.
