Since I have hords of MTSs is there some quick and easy way I can extract their bodies to feed to my fish? Because they have rediculously tough shells none of my fish can eat them as is.

Most small Apple Snails, and those Malaysian buggers, I just crush under finger. But I've pierced my finger a couple of times. I've crushed them under spoon, in one of those Chinese Yum-Cha bowls.

I haven't experianced your type of Snail, and from your description, it's pretty tough. And I'm guessing, they're not easy to scoop out.

With what I have at hand, I'd probaly use my Bench Drill, as a Crushing Press. Or just get the Cleaver from the Kitchen, and chop the Snail clean in half. (but don't let the Wife see me!). Just drop both halves in, and retrieve the shell later.

Please make sure the snails have been through quarantine, like any other plant and animal. I've found Paleatus Cories playing games with small snails(whole)on their own. Kind of like Footie(Soccer) with their snouts, until they can suck out the insides. I haven't observed Aeneus, Trilineatus nor Copei with the same interest in snails as Paleatus. I've seen canned snails meant for reptiles. Has anybody tried those?
