Java Moss Environment

I currently have two emerald cory cats (Brothis speldens) in my 20 gallon tank, about to add a third. I've noticed that my duo seem to love swimming through the java moss attached to a branch ornament. Some moss has also "rooted" to the gravel, and they seem to adore playing in it.

I assume where these boyos are from is naturally thick with plant life? If so, if I add more java moss and fern, would that benefit my cories? How much is too much moss in a 20 gallon with 1 watt per gallon?

Also, in my 20 Long, I plan to have 3 bronze cories and 3 albino bronze cories. Would they appreciate a lot of java moss in the gravel as well?

Brochis and Corydoras do appreciate plants in the aquarium but make sure they have a good sized area of sand for them to forage in.
The addition of more plants on the substrate would not be of much benefit IMHO.
When they are swimming amongst the java moss they are probably searching for microscopic food particles.

yup..it's true..my corys abd brochis does the same thing as well. However, try adding more broad leaved plants such as Anubias or Java Fern. Even a bunch or two of fine-leaved plants such as Cabomba. Plants such as these, along with Java Moss, help to create a good environment for corys to live in.

In my experience Cory's just love to play. Bubble's, Java moss, the random current, The glass. All day non-stop. A tanks just not complete without a school of cories.
