I'm not a brine shrimp expert but if you use any sea salt from a grocery store make sure
that it contains no additives such as potassium iodine, calcium silicate, or dextrose.
I use Celtic Sea Salt for my African cichlid tanks in trace amounts. This is a great salt
as I use it for my own food as well but it is also expensive. I'm sure any sea salt will work
as long as it has no additives and is not plain salt (NaCl). I would assume that the trace
elements found in sea salt are very important for brine shrimp.

Most supermarket Salt contains anticaking agents etc, which I stay well clear of. however. I use a household sea salt which contains no additives, I find it works for me

For brine shrimp all you really need is non-iodized salt. I personally use Instant Ocean but I am tol that this works too!
