Would a full grown common (or even at this size, half grown) get along with cories? I currently have some Julii Cories in one tank, and my common In another... But when I move, Im planning on getting a 75+ and Hopeing the cories could share in on the joys of a big tank.

I doubt you should have any problems.

However

There is one rule of thumb that can't be ignored even with peaceful fish.

Whatever will fit in its mouth, will probably wind up in it.

I would agree with pleco crazy in terms of the likley "no problem", but I disagree with the statement that whatever will fit in its mouth will likley end up in it.

Many, if not most catfish, are semi-to-full predatory however, there are many exceptions and I would include "common," at which I am assuming a Liposarcus pardalis or closley related fish. These fish may be extremley territorial at times with conspecifics or otherwise; however, they are not outright hunters.

I get what your saying but a fish uses its mouth to investigate stuff. I have seen what would be the most peaceful large pleco come up and mouth a small loach on the bottom and then decide that it could be an easy meal and really ripped it up. It survived for the time being but died sometime the week after.

I wouldn't say that the pleco was going around hunting for a meal, he just came across it.
