What are those blackwater species ?

I am a noob to raise pleco.Now i need to know what are the species in blackwater,and their L numbers. Thank for the help.

There are many blackwater species and quite hard to count them all up here, I think it's easier if you tell us what species you are interesting in. Make some research first because even we need to do that before we can tell them all :wink:

If you are wanting to try blackwater species breeding i would first do L183

Laurab5's suggestion is probably the first one off the top of anyones head.

If you, like Janne, suggests, give some more details of what you want with respect to:
1. Size.
2. A short-list of genera.
3. Temp-range, pH range of your tank.

And finally, not all Pleco's have L-numbers. Only those that have been introduced to the trade since around 1985 or so, and that haven't been formally identified as a specie, althouhg many L-numbered species are some previously (or since) identified specie, and it's actually much better to specify the specie when talking of those, for example L14 is , L15 is and L183 is .
