if anyone with breeding information or access to it or links to it would please contact me it would be much appreciated. it appears mine spawned in a community tank (i breed angelfish) and although i can't locate the eggs the next morning i would like to be prepared if they do it again and have a timetable for when to expect their next attempt.

Siamese algae eaters aren't catfish, they are Cyprinids - same as barbs for example. There's some more details on this page.

I wouldn't think that they are very difficult to breed, as they are reasonably common in the trade, and I'm pretty sure they aren't all wild-caught...

Next time they spawn leave the lights on so they don't wake up and see breakfast.

They are extremely difficult to breed in aquarium. I've heard of a very few reports in the world.

The vast numbers of captive-bred specimens are the result of artificial breeding induced through hormone injections.
