I am planning to buy WILD CAUGHT Apistogrammas soon, but I have some questions to ask eveyone. I am planning to put WILD Apistogrammas with my Brochis and Corydoras. Can I do that? But, I have heard that Apistogrammas will be very aggressive when they are going to breed, so all my Brochis and Corydoras will have any problems in that suitation. Do I HAVE TO TAKE ALL my Brochis and Corydoras OUT OFF the tank when WILD Apistogrammas is going to breed? If I don't take them out off the tank, all my Brochis and Corydoras will be killed by WILD Apistogrammas. Can anyone help me? I really need to know before I am planning to buy some of WILD Apistogrammas soon. Thank you very much. It will be greatly appreciated. I will wait for the answer everyday.

Wouldn't be so worried. I've kept apisto's and corydoras together for some years, and the apisto's killed none of them. In fact, the Corydoras didn't really seem to care if the apisto's were agressive.

if you want to breed your catfish, take them seperately...cichlids (also the smalls ones) love caviar and fish larvae.

The translation of "Corydoras" was something like "bearing helmets" or so ?
Don't worry to much...the adult corys will survive !
Babys probably not.

apistos tend to save their aggression for other apistos. If the cories get close to the eggs they'll be chased away, but not hounded to death.

It does depend on how big your tank is though. In a two foot tank the apistos may not be so forgiving, but in a three foot or bigger you should be OK.

One can hardly miss that your Apistogrammas are wild caught;
what I did miss is which species you are going to keep.
Not all behave in the exactely the same way.
So, which one is it going to be?
