Hello

I recently won a Synodontis Caudopunctatus at an auction. I can't find any info on the internet about this fish. Could someone please tell me some about it. For example, adult length, area/lake of origin, any other neat facts.

Thanks
Jamal

There is no such species as S. caudopunctatus. There is S. multipunctatus and there is S. caudovittatus.

It sounds like a name someone would stick on a hybrid. Do you have a pic of the fish?

Is it common for different Synodontis to interbreed? Anyone heard of these 2 hybridizing before?

It's brown with dark spots. Before putting it in the tank, it had some very light almost pinkish coloring mixed it. I'll get a pic up soon hopefully.

-Thanks

The synos are not interbreeding naturally (the two species mentioned above don't even have the same distributions). Fish farmers (mostly in eastern Europe) are.
