I have a ten gallon planted tank that I let go too long with too few water changes and a lack of algae eaters. It's planted with Java Fern and various types of Anubias. The Anubias are HUGE, and the tank is starting to look decent again now that I have taken a renewed interest in it. The only problem is that the leaves on my Anubias are coated with algal growth. It's not hair algae, as I have had that in tanks before, rather, it's brown, and somewhat stringy, creating a short "carpet" of algae on each leaf, no taller than .5 cm.

I purchased two Otocinclus for the tank, and they have done WONDERS with what little algae was left on the tank sides (after I scrubbed them last weekend). My question is this- will the Otos also eat the algae on the leaves? If not, does anyone know if I could just cut the leaves off?? Will anubias grow new leaves?

You could try shrimp, or cutting off the leaves. check out this link for more ideas.
