In the pics it was only 3 cm TL, but according to the owner 3 months after the fish has grown to 7 cm and is still in this pattern
still young
S. eupterus? S. serpentis? S. aterrimus? an
hybrid?
too small to say?

eupterus should get spots and the wriggly pattern both at 7cm; in time all the 'wriggles' go and the spots remain.
this is another hybrid, but 1 of the parents definitely is eupterus, though.

Well, once the fish has grown I think is clear that it's a
S. eupterus and not and hybrid, isn't it?
