Has anyone breed C. Schwartzi
Has anyone breed C. Schwartzi
I have 7 in a 20 long with 5 females and 2 males. The females have became really huge lately but the males don't seem to be to interested. I have been doing 30% water chaanges every other day. I know I should have more males in the tank. I have not tried increasing the current yet. Anyone have any information.

I have bred C. schwartzi, the first thing that I would say is that you male/female ratio is the wrong way round, the ratio is best with two males per female, this is pretty much a rule with most of the short or round snouted species. It usually take the attention of two or more males and their constant courtship activity to encourage a female to breed.
I would try moving the two males and a female to a tank of their own, giving them the same conditions as they have now and see how they go.
