Proper hardness for Merodontotus Tigrinus?
I finaly have the ph down in the low 7's and enough KH to prevent crashes but I'm wondering what is the hardness in DGH or ppm of these fishes natural environment. I can't find it anywhere? Are they softwater fish like 3DGH or medium like 8-10 or????

Fishbase.org doesn't have any data, but from what I can gather, this fish isn't from just a little localized area, so it's probably adaptable to various hardness, as long as it is on the "soft" side. Likewise, the pH should probably be below 7, as long as it's not FAR below. Somewhere around 6-6.5 is probably a good starting point, and a dH of around 8 perhaps.
