I have a Syno. Eupterus with 3 Pictus andsome bearded cories. I believe that as long as their si balance in the tank, you will not have any problems.

Hey guys, i've found some contradictory info.
If u check out Aquariacentral.com they have a profile on S. Eupterus also, on planetcatfish it says max size is 6"(15cm) but on Aquariuacentral it says max size is 10"(25cm).
Could someone clear this up? Because i prob would be allowed to keep a Featherfin if it was only 15cm.
Thanks Ppl!

all of the ones around here seem to max out around 17cm

The biggest I have ever seen was about 8", 20 cm; but then they're really old too, this is including the tailfin wich can become a bit "elongated" at the edge.
7-8" eupterus are HUGE
these fish seem to grow "up" as they age; the finnage gets a bit "overdone", it seems, the adipose gets way up, and the fish in general makes an impression that it's going for 3 feet, but it doesn't.
but a well-fed 7.5" eupterus looks massive in a small tank, despite being only so "small".

They also grow out sideways as well
I've kept this S. eueupterus for over 15 years now and she is very fat, despite a mostly 'healthy' diet of algae wafers supplimented with a few black worms (they are mostly gone down the cory's gullets by the Syno's nocturnal prowl).

Mine is very aggressive, I believe he is over 6" long, I will try to measure him tonight. He is my biggest cat and bullies the others around (including larger plecos).
