I kept the African Catfishes about 14 years ago when I changed to marines. I now reverted back to my catfishes.
Here is my tank currently. Can't wait to purchase some syno's and plecs.

3 m I wish, it is 2 m, my mistake. LOL
The filters was for a marine setup and did not want to take them out. The dry side is filled with bioballs and the wet side with lava rocks.

No I didn't boil the wood, the lfs shop owner said that the wood was already tank friendly and matured. Bullshit, I am now sitting with cloudy water, will do 50% water changes every 2-3 days.

I've never boiled a piece of bog wood I bought from an aquarium supplier. Not ever. If your tank is less than 6 weeks old, it's clouding due to a bacterial bloom with the cycling process, not due to the wood or anything else you added, IMO. FW tanks will need time to stabilize and colonize the bacteria that digest the waste your fish will put off. If you don't already have fish in it, you should still be feeding the tank just like you do. You can read more on the subject Here.
Don't panic and yell at your shopkeepers just yet ;). There are definitely some good ones out there!
