Where to purchase Madtoms/Bullheads?

Hi everyone,
I have a 55gallon tank that I'm ready to get started. I decided to go with cats in a river tank. I live in Southern California and as far as I know there are strict rules when it comes to collecting live specimens. I'm very interested to know where I can buy Madtoms and Bullheads.
I already checked out Jonah's Aquarium and they don't have any catfish in stock at the moment. I'm also aware of BTDarters.com, and haven't contacted them yet.
Does anyone have any other good resourses for me? I'm really interested to get this stuff started.

No madtoms, but they have bullheads:

I also live in S. Cal and have been seriously thinking about madtoms. But I've seen my tanks go to 86F during the day in the summer and am not sure madtoms can survive our weather? Bullheads won't be a problem though.

Actually, they do have madtoms:

It depends on species. Tadpole madtoms do OK at higher temperatures, for instance.

I live in Massachusettes and have just read an article on Tadpole Madtoms,i read that they make one of the best native cats to keep in the aquarium,i am wondering if anyone would have any pics of this cat??Any help is appreciated.

Nah, an oscar would find any but the smallest tadpole madtoms to be a a painful lesson - they actually have (mildly) venomous spines. But the temps that would keep an oscar happy would be uncomfortable for madtoms and would surely lead to health problems down the road. Short term high temps would be tolerable, as long as you kept EXCELLENT aeration (which would also give the added bonus of dropping the temp a couple of degrees due to evaporation), but they are definitly an animal for the coldwater tank.
Those pics don't capture the bizarre "lumpy" nature of a large adult T.P. When they're big, they get a sort of bloated look that really grows on you.
