Dont see a gallery on this site, so I will post here, please move to the appropriate are and let me know for the future I have a lot of other catfish shots. Also, please feel free to use in the Catelog as long as proper credit is provided.
Love these guys, such clowns, I have 3 of these, and 3 of the Longibarbis species.
What lovely species and lovely photos! I believe for future reference, it would be the South American, Callichthyidae. Please correct me if I'm wrong, anybody. What size tank do you have them in?

I used to live in Chico, so I know from whence you hail.

I got the two kinds at two different LFS in San Fernando Valley area. One had the reg. ones, and then another one got in the flagtails. I doubt either of the stores does mail order. I can probably ship for you, email me directly and I will check inventory and price and will let you know. I ship fish all the time and these are small so it's easy.

Best way to submit pics is detailed here - http://www.planetcatfish.com/core/pp_contribute.php - I had a look around at your other catfish pics - they're great too. Would certainly like to add them into the cat-elog.
There is a forum gallery (see the album top right) but it's currently broken.
Thanks Jools. That works if I just want to submit images, but I more so want to share my work with others, and usually most sites have a Photography area, which is what I was looking for.

Well I certainly enjoyed your photos too, and I sure wouldn't mind if they were merely posted in their respective forum sections based on the species' continent/family. In way this keeps a very busy forum more organized, as I'm a member of some that have seperate photo posting sections too. Sometimes a photo section almost seems a redundancy to the rest of a forum's focus?
Of course this is an average fishnut's perspective, an accomplished photographer may differ in opinion..
For now, here is the other Dianema Species I own a few of: longibarbis. The non-flagtail version. Took this one randomly yesterday, the only shot saved from a session.

Our album gallery is currently down maybe permanently or perhaps I'll put it back in a few weeks if I can.
I have to say though, surely it's better to have your pictures associated with good, researched species knowledge and credited to you rather than float around in a gallery with whatever people decide to post in there?
I agree, Jools, I am not planning to put them in the gallery. I also gave you the permission to use the photos w/my credit (Aquatic-photography.com is the copyright). No problem. My goal is to share my photography, that is all
