Haven't seen one or read of any. There is an article in shane's world that doesn't approve of any hybrids.

I think the hybridization may have it's place (in creating food for people who live in protein-poor regions), but it's certainly not a good thing in the aquarium trade.

There are roughly 2500 different species of catfish in the world. That should be more than sufficient to find ones that are suitable for just about any aquatic purpose, and still have a few that are completely unsuitable for aquatic purposes (too large or too sensitive to do well in captivity). There's absolutely no need for breeders or aquarists to "create" new species by hybridizing.

That doesn't mean that it doesn't happen, either by accident (two similar species kept together and accidentally spawning) or by commercial breeders in an effort of "creating a new specie". Both is very much frowned upon by the aquarium hobbyists, but particularly someone doing it for commercial reasons is NOT GOOD.
