Breeding Kryptopterus bicirrhis.

Post by Lofty »

Hi all!

I have had a group of 5 Kryptopterus bicirrhis (Glass Cats) in my softwater tank for quite a while now, and from reading various things on t'internet (:D) it would seem that one of them is showing the symptoms of a fish about to spawn! Fattened up a lot etc.

So, was just wondering if anyone here has any experience of breeding them? All i know is that the eggs should be separated from the fish, they are greedy little buggers and would most probably eat the eggs :D

Thanks in advance!

Ben.

They are rainy season spawners, so simulating one might help.
