Are my L200 and L066 compatible?

Hey guys,

First time poster to this message board. I recently fell in love with exotic plecos and have competely overhauled my 29gallon tank to suit a couple I found.

I have a Yellow king Tiger Pleco L066 which is about 3.5 inches right now, and have a Spotted Green Pleco L200 which is about 4.5-5 inches. Both are absolutely beautiful. Right now the 29 gallon tank houses 6 small angelfish, 10 white clouds and the L200. My L066 is housed in a separate 10 gallon tank with 6 fancy guppies. I know 10 gallons is little, but the tank filter is for a 30 gallon tank, and the guppies dont take up much room at all.

So here's my question, would there be a problem if I place the L066 in the 29 gallon tank with the L200? I have set up two separate caves for them at opposite ends of the tank. The L200 has been in the tank for only 3 days.

I just dont want any one of them to get hurt, was very lucky to find these fish.

Is there gonna be a problem if the L066 stays in the 10 gallon?

Sorry for the lengthy post, and I await someone's reply.

I have kept both of these fish in the same aquarium without any problems, however, the aquarium was bigger than 29 gallons. That being said, I would suggest giving both of them suitable places to hide out that are away from each other.

Thanks for the reply. I do have two separate makeshift caves out of rock made at opposite ends of the tank.

But I do have one more concern, the L200 seems to be active and not that scared to come out in daylight to roam the tank floor, but the L066 is extremely shy and timid even in his own 10 gallon tank that I have him in right now. How was your L066? Was it timid and shy? and if so how did you make sure it ate well?

thanks again.

i agree, most pleco's are compatible aslong as you give them enough place's to get away from eachother. Good luck in the pleco world and i hope it bring's you as much joy as it bring's everyone here :D .
