Agassizii or Delphax?

I have acquirred six of the little critters. They could pass for either of the fish in the subject line as compared to the pics in the cat-elog, except they do not have any spotting in the dorsal fin.
They don't come close to anything else in the cat-elog and am wondering if anyone else has come across these and id'd them?
Want to provide them with the best habitat and breed them if they'll let me

Without a picture it's almost impossible to give you a positive id

I have the same dilemma with my six new cory acquisitions. They look like the pics you posted here. Problem is, my shopkeeper told me they're leucomelas! Reading your posts, I'm increasingly convinced my new corys are either agasizii or delphax, hardly leucomelas. I've checked pics of leucomelas on the net and even those pics look different from one another. It is very confusing. Can anyone at least give me a definitive picture of the leucomelas? :?:

Starsky,

Mine can't be leucomelas as the eye band does not extend below the orbit. I have settled on Delphax for my friends. Good luck finding a quality pic to identify yours.

Thamks, Ian! My leucomelas look nothing like the one in your pic. And most other pics I've seen online for that matter. Just goes to show you can't rely entirely on what the fish shops tell you.

It has a rather pointed snout like the agassizii in the pic you posted, same spot patterns, too. One of the bunch even has smaller spots and shorter snout like the delphax in the pic. I'll post a pic of my fish as soon as I get a digicam.

gee thanks ian, now I am more confused than ever.
I have been surfing for pics on the net since i got my so called leucomelas and I've observed that there are a lot of cories with almost the same patterns but are completely different species. :? It seems the slightest difference in the patterns really matters a lot.
