Someone on aquabid.com is auctioning 30 zebra plecos that ends on the eleventh. The highest bid is $220. That is incredible. I'm thinking about bidding for them. What do you think.

"Reserve not met." So even if it is for real you're not going to get them for $225. He has a hidden min bid set.

Laurab5,
Please don't bid on that auction. Notice that it originates in Germany and the seller has 0/0 feedback. There are frequenters of this forum who have been badly burned by this exact set-up before. Write me if you want some babies.

I would agree... unless you are going to fly to germany and inspect them before you actually buy them. It might be cheaper to fly there and pick them up than to pay nextday air from Germany to the states.

the Other thing that would make you think is that he is shipping it overnight through United States Postal Service from germany and a size of 1.5 to 2 inches that are wild is this a little small for wild fish, he don't even show the the actual photos of the fish, if you look further down the list he is selling 5 of the same fish with a buy it now price of $1,350-1,400 so if you do the math with a quantity discount you are looking at least $6,000-7,000 American Dollars not to mention that you need to go through customs and Fish and Wild life Permits I dont even know if you need an import permit for this you might want to Email him and ask just to be sure. I would rather be safe than sorry and take Kevins offer.

I thought you already bought some other plecs from this guy with the Zebra's. If I was that close to him I would just swing by and check them out before I bid. I would drive halfway across the states for wild caught zebras :!:

Yes, i did buy L333 from Kadriye, and also he offered some small L46 (3-4cm) for 60euro's, but i was not interested(lack of money to be honest :( )...
Zebrazucht is 12hours driving away from me, and i have to pass 3 borders to get to him, and 3 more on my way back, so it is 12 times passing near border guard, and may i remind you, it is illegal to transfer fish thru countrys without vet permittion.
Also gas is much expensive hear then in the states, so it is aprox. 100euro one way for gasoline.
So i have bought this 3 plecs only cuz my friend and his family was driving in the car(free transport :)), and nobody ask questions to normal family.
I hope you have understood me, my english sucks

But main thing is that i want Kevin's hypancistrus... :D
