And I've been wondering what it died of. It's true it didnt look so good when I got it 2 days ago, but I thought it would get better with clean water and a nice environment. 1 day after i bought it, i came back home and noticed one of its side had turned white (it was an emerald cory) and had some red streaks on it, as if it had been injured or something. it was a matter of one hour for death to come. any idea of what was it?

Sorry about the loss.
I think one possible reason may simply be that the shops tank and your tank has different water parameters, and the cory couldn't take the combined stress of being moved and having different water.
But that's just a guess. It may of course have been ill from the shop...

Hi, Mats!
Well, I actually had tested the shop's water before moving the fish to my tank, and except for the ammonia that was a little high in the store's sample, the rest was pretty much close to my water parameters, like pH. I did acclimatised it too. I kept slowly adding my water to the container where it was with store water for over an hour. Maybe it wasnt enough though

I added a fungus clear to the tank just in case it was some kind of disease and was spread to the other fish.
Also, I bought 2 of these guys as "emerald cories" (brocchis splendens), but they are not as green as my first emerald cory. Can they be more brownish?
