Thanks for the welcome. I should let you know what I have, I got a small common pleco, not too sure about the actual genus yet, just know that it's as common looking, Pleco speaking as you can get. I got him in my 20 now and will be getting a LARGE tank soon to transfer him to.

I'd like to mention that if you've got a Catfish website, to check out this site ring I created, I'd like to have you join. I noticed there was no Catfish ring through the famous "webrings" so I created one, I made it a neat looking graphic too, so it will look good on your site. I contacted the owner of this site to see if he'd like to join, guess he just hasn't gotten around to it yet. Anyways, the link is called "The Catfish Network" and its URL is:

The only two links I see in the "Catfish Network" are to two commercial sites selling what I gather are your products. What does that have to do with catfish? Someone could get the impression that you are simply trying to link your commercial enterprise to a popular website to generate business.

That's exactly what I'm out to do amigo. You show me a man on earth who isn't watching his own bottom line (and I don't mean fishing line) and I will show you a planet called "Catfish".

I would imagine you own an aquarium, I'm not going to investigate your public file, because that's your business and I don't like being nosey. But if you own an aquarium of some sort, you wouldn't be able to enjoy that aquarium if there was no commercial company out there to produce it, you also wouldn't have been able to buy that filter, those fish, etc. I think you see my point. Besides that, I'm not a commercial company, I'm just a little working man doing this on the side offering better than commercial service, the building is the part I enjoy.

Planet Catfish is run on a non-profit basis and I don't appreciate ill conceived swipes at those that give their time for free to support it when the latter are mearly upholding forum rules.

I appreciate you've got a product you want to sell and you're a one-man-band BUT I think some of the mods in here think you are being too pushy. I do. As Dave says, you're on thin ice.

No more SPAM style "hey look at my product" type posts please - as a forum we really do want to support the little guy with a big idea, and all levels of aquarists with catfish in the aquariums but you are really going about it the wrong way!

Although I take the point, I found this one quite amusing as Shane is actually someone who collects his own fish.
