can i have two fossilis?
can i have two fossilis (or micro somthing?) catfish in one tank? I think that both are females.
i have them now in the tank and they har fighting or playing? I dont know?

It depends on the tank size. If your tank is big enough, fossil catfish (Heteropneustes fossilis)could live together in a group, males and females. During the spawning time they form a hierarchic structure, males are following dominant female to fertilise her eggs. Sometimes they are fighting, but with no hurt. You must cover well the tank, because during fighting they sometimes could jump out.

Your tank size is OK
IMHO H. microps is the same species as H. fossilis. I agree with those, who are saying that H. microps is nothing more than the result of anomalous fin regeneration or a mutation in H. fossilis. I believe that your fishes won't hurt each other. You can see a fight of 2 young specimen on video on Cat-eLog, and the fishes are still alive and happy

Fossilis Pair..
I've kept a pair of fossilis for many years, perhaps a male and female as one is pale and the other much darker in color. They are in a 135 Gal tank with other catfish species and spend most of the time together as close companions, as said, like playful children....
