I just discovered my H*plosternum eating worms being passed by another fish, (a snakehead). I plan on treating both my feeder tank and the main tank but am concered about appropriate meds that won't harm the bottom feeders in the tank, (unfortunatley I don't have a large enough tank to quarantine the snakehead so I need to treat the whole tank), I have heard that medications for internal parasites can be especially hard on catfish. Is one of the copper sulfate treatments my best option? Any advice would be well received. One note though-please no lectures on the wisdom of placing anything in with a snakehead, i know its risky, but, when he gets larger he will be in a specimen tank. Thanks again!!

Do a search in forums for "deworm" you should find enough imfo.

I found a great deworming treatment, its new and apparently may not be available everywhere but the product is called "PraziPro". It claims to be 100% safe, except on inverts, and after I treated the tank my snakehead passed his worms in about an hour, (it was seriously gross).

Thanks Sandiego. Its all taken care of. The stuff I got was recommended as a discus treatment, and it seems to have taken effect very well. My snakehead ate huge last night, his appetite must be back, and it seems no adverse effects on the cats sharing his tank.
