Found this in a tank of
C. atropersonatus. It exudes a faint pink hue amidst all the white. The eyes are black and not red, so can't be an albino yah? Any idea on what it is?

I would say that's a partially amelanistic individual.

amelanistic meaning the absence of melanin?
A question on colour genetics: does an albino always have red eyes?

Yes. Albinos are completely amelanistic, so they have pink eyes. Your fish still has traces of melanin, as it has black eyes and you can just abot make out very slight traces of the original color pattern.

IF you look at the region around the eye, you can see what looks like an eye mask (there is a very slight dark region above the eye to suggest this). There are also a few scattered (extremely small) black spots on the dorsal half of the body.

yah, there are indeed some very faint black spots on the dorsolateral side of the body, especially in the region between the supra-occipital and the dorsal fin spine. And the area around the eyes does seem to be darker as well.
But this specimen shows more of a "pinkish hue" rather than the "snow-white" for what we would see on a normal specimen. Does it mean that it has lost its base colour as well?

The pinkish hue is probably due to the color of the blood coming through the (translucent) skin and dermal bone.

Looks like silurus has hit the nail on the head, the pink only seems to be present on the lower part of the body near the internals. It is not present to the eye on the dorsal areas.
You definetly have a rare one as it is not an albino, one of my pet peevs is the albino cats.I can't stand the albino cats as it just seems wrong to breed for that particular recessive trait.
