it's so easy for them to impose their idealistic views on everyone else from their cosy armchairs lobbying a democratic government.

if they really cared about the ecology of the world, they would get over to south america and tell a cattle rancher or a goldminer that he can't feed his family because they think it's "cruel" what he does to the environment.

i think it would take a bit more balls to do that!

god, it makes me so angry.

Nirah announced yesterday that the project is going to be built at a site in Bedford.

It will bring 2500 jobs to the area, and should be open by 2010.

How about they made some research on PROPER fishkeeping. Fish in captivity survive quite well, as long as they are kept under correct circumstances. Unfortunately, a lot of beginner fish-keepers do not understand "correct circumstances" and keep fish in over-stocked tanks, with the wrong water parameters and all sorts of other problems.

If they are going to protest against something, it should be against the practice of keeping goldfish in un-airated bowls and big catfish in small tanks... And hybridizing Czechs...

i agree mats, there are a hundred thousand issues that are more worthy of protesting about than this.

"LAST week a rag-tag group of protesters gathered outside Bedford Town Hall.

There were only eight of them, so it did not exactly match the great demos of the 1980s.

Those earlier protests were concerned with major national and international issues such as nuclear war, anti-apartheid, jobs and poll tax.
