Hi,
I have got 2 pangasius sanitwongsei in 530L tank. The proportions are 161*60*55cm.My friend gave them to me,because he has got only 90L tank.I khow, that these fish cant live a long time in my tank, but what can I do?Get rid of them? Its impossible. So I need to khow, what kind of food I have to give them?Is it enough to give them tablets with more protein content and some small live fish? How long will they survive in my tank with this food?I think, that could be 2-3 years. What do you think?Im sorry about my english..Im just beginner and in my country I cant find anyone, who breed them.
Thank you for answers.

hi
and welcome to planet catfish :)

first things first ..
feeding when i looked after these fish some years ago as part of my job, they were housed in a 1600Ltr tank
and their size was around 70cm in length, (i have to admit that they looked stunning).
when i recieved them they were used top being fed on small live feeder fish.
however i am a believer that one must endeviour to change this feeding method.and honestly i had them eating
thawed out white bait, prawns and small fillets of cod (or another type of white fish)within a week.so i would urge you to try this.
i found that in using high protein pellets one fish ate them but the other left them alone, also the aquarium they were in was filtered using two eheim bucket filters and a large trickle filter (1.6 cubic litres)fed from a large pond pump.two 30% water changes were done weekly.as a matter of practise. and always the water gave a high ammonia reading shortley after being fed high potein pellets. so bascically i am saying be warry of feeding high protein pellets.
as to your other questions there are many posts in his forum about pengasius catfish, and you may be interestred in viewing a few. so make yourself a drink and heres a starter for you :-http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4013
