We are currently trialing two chat rooms known locally as "voodoo" (Tim's link) and "barbie" chat (Silurus' link). I personally prefer voodoo chat, but barbie chat appears more stable.
What do the people who have tried them both think?

PS Once we decide we will be putting the chosen chat online via the chatroom portal / sub-domain at http://www.chatroom.planetcatfish.com.

It's not only the green that's hard to see, a few of the other pastel colors are very hard to make out as well (Rusty sent me a private message that I almost could not read).
I much prefer the stability of the "barbie" chat, but one cool feature of the "voodoo" chat I like is the ability to see what's going on in the chatroom before you enter it.
Also, is there a way to change the font in the "barbie" chat (or at least make that a user option)? Serif fonts like Times aren't my favorite....I prefer sans serif fonts like Helvetica.

Yeah, either chatroom would be hacked to look (more or less) like the rest of the site. Wanted to get the right one before we do this though. Voodoo is probably easier to hack, but either shouldn't be beyond the talents of Rusty (I think?).Silurus wrote:Also, is there a way to change the font in the "barbie" chat (or at least make that a user option)? Voodoo does have lots of nice features (I would like to put a chat preview similar to the one you like onto the main apge).
@Rusty - is there any mention of a new version in development?
